No, DC is all new. Boston, London,NYC & Peking were all designed byGen Wm
Barclay Parsons who live ten blocks from the house just sold on the blvd
named for him. WHen I went to COlumbia engineering I used to study under his
lfe size portrait in library.
Back in 1982 we had a visitor from Australia who berated us, saying WDC
subways (just buil) were nice. I hope they look nice 100yrs fm now
