   You make it sound as the electric car is an usable right off. This is far   
   from the case. Just read this group about the advances. The electric car is   
   viable right now. Advanced plug-in hybrids even more so. Current hybrids are   
   mainly IC driven with electric assist in some way. Look at the Mini   
   conversion prototype which mainly electric with IC assist - running off   
   purely electricity and gasoline to generate the electricity when needed   
   (petro generator).
