   I think you meant to say a typical RATIONAL liberal who cares about   
   people. .   
      
   The density of population in a city is far greater than out in the   
   sticks. The emissions from hundreds of thousands of cars in cities   
   the size of Toronto cause the deaths of well over 1,000 people each   
   year and thousands more are treated at hospital or are hospitalized   
   for illnesses linked to pollutants.   
      
   More than 6,000 people are admitted to hospitals across the city each   
   year with smog-related illnesses. It's a huge burder on our health   
   care system.   
      
   Out in the sticks the population density is far less and therefore the   
   damage is far less in lives, hospitalization, work lost, burden on   
   our health care system, inconvenience and money lost.
