   I wouldn't say that at all...I think both Penny and Karen are passionate   
   about what the believe, and that's a good thing up to a point...but such   
   passibion can blind people to other possibilities and to reality....the   
   alternative is that people get too cynical and never believe anything they   
   read or hear...for example, I assume politicians are lying at least 90% of   
   the time...Machiavelli outlined the principles of successful politics 500   
   years ago and they have not changed.   
      
   My point about Karen not reading very is that she missed the point of the   
   thread...I should've been more clear, that she did not read the thread very   
   closely...the thread was about how environmentally sound and commercially   
   viable GM's EV1 development really was when all the facts are accounted for.   
   Karen chose to ignore this argument and started off on hybird vehicles,   
   which is just an attempt to reframe the discussion to prove her point and is   
   simply a non sequitur.
