XPost: ab.general, ab.politics, calgary.general       XPost: can.general, can.taxes, ont.politics       From: ceri@shawRemoveThis.ca              Fact: a portion of my tax dollars go to healthcare weather I use it or not.       If that's not enough they want to bill me even further every month for every       member in family. The level of care in return is very very low barebones. If       I want adaquate care I have to spend yet even more money on private       inssurance (Blue Cross) that has to use crown hospitals and doctors I       already paid for twice. If I get something seriuosly ill with me, I don't       feel very secure that I won't die waiting to get care, even with all this       Canadian healthcare I fully paid for. I don't know what healthcare is like       in the rest of Canada but here in Alberta it's frieghtenly hellish from what       I've seen in the US or the UK in comparerison and that's with my own eyes       not TV shows or internet websites spewing out dribble. No if, and or but       about it the healthcare here is a sham be any stretch of the imagination its       just a question as to how bad it is for each whom are forced to use it.       Depending as to whats needed will result how people are treated and end up       feeling about the system. Most don't feel well about it from what is in the       media and people say in person, including the people working in it. The very       least in the US I can choose how much I invest in healthcare and get to use       it when I need it it. not when its conveinient to them. Go and use your       local heathcare system and tell me just how well and wonderful it is and if       they fully looked after you in a timely mannor and not just gave you some       pills they charge you for and say come back in a week you'll have your facts       in 3D. Hell here you can take a trip in an ambulance and still wait 45       minutes just to get out of the ambulance doors.       The federal government wonders why we need private healthcare as most here       in Alberta know cannot be any worse than the public sham is now. It can only       get better as we are at the bottom in the first world nations.                     "Fred" |
