   No renal failure so far from eating wheat gluten products made in the USA by   
   the Canadian owned income trust that calls itself a company.   
      
   The problem was cited to be with "wet foods" that come in pouches from specific   
   sources, not cans of pet food or human consumed products.   
      
   Most often, food for pets is from specifically designated sources that are   
   deemed to be unfit for human consumption (can you say eyeballs, gonads and   
   chicken beaks?  Sounds like a hot dog at Yankee Stadium).   
      
   I assume that the FDA knows this.   
      
   I own two cats, if they died or it cost me $1,000 a pop to save them, I'd be in   
   on the lawsuit, if not marching into their offices with one of my hunting   
   rifles and looking for the guy who cut corners!
