XPost: kingston.forsale, kingston.general, kingston.wanted       XPost: ont.forsale       From: kiwi@NOSPAMcogeco.ca               After a few years of semi hiatus, I'm back. When I started Computerz for       Kidz here in Kingston, I was on disability, but decided to "bug" to have       them send me back to school so I could return to work. I became a Network       Administrator, but after just over 2 years, I became quite ill. I have been       out of work now for 2 1/2 years, and last fall, I was rushed to the hospital       requiring life saving surgery, recovery has been slow and painful.       Unfortunately, I most likely won't be able to return to work, and needless       to say, I've become quite discouraged. So, as part of my healing, physically       and more importantly emotionally, I knew it would be very therapeutic to do       what motivates me most, helping others.        However, I will once again require your help. When Computerz for Kidz began       several years ago, your response was tremendous, and together, we were able       to provide computers to a number of single parent families, as well as       several non profit organizations, including a women's shelter. I also       repaired computers for a number of others, including a Christian school, Big       Brothers, Epilepsy Organization, a public school, as well as low income       families and others on disability, just to name a few.        Computerz for Kidz is an entirely free service, supplying single parent and       low income families, non profit organizations, and others that otherwise       would be unable to acquire a computer. My main concern being our children.        I collect your generous donations of computers and/or parts, as well as       software, assemble full, working computers, and give them to these people,       completely free of charge. I have occasionally received money, for which I       provide a receipt, and the receipt for computer parts purchased with the       funds, every penny going toward parts required to finish building a       computer.        My enumeration and reward is seeing the look on children's faces when I       hook up the computer, and tell them it's theirs! It goes without saying that       it an awesome experience.        If you have a computer, parts, or software sitting around and would like to       help give a child the opportunity to have a computer, please contact me to       arrange pick up. I will periodically report our progress, how many computers       have been given away, and to whom they went. If anyone would like to be       emailed the information directly, I will do so. Your generosity is greatly       appreciated and is not without reward.              Thank you, Larry Bertrand       Computerz for Kidz       email: kiwi@NOSPAMcogeco.ca (remove NOSPAM)       Phone: 613-449-2497              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
