   This year it was June 20, which is better than last year by about 4   
   days.   
      
   Back in 1961, it was almost 2 months earlier (late April).   
      
   The best it's been in recent years was June 17 in 2001.  The worst   
   it's ever been was June 25, which was in 2000 (possibly made worse   
   because it was a leap year?).  In recent years it's been close - June   
   24 in 2005 and 2006.   
      
   Tax freedom day generally comes earlier in Ontario (June 19) vs Quebec   
   (June 26) but it's earliest in Alberta (June 1).
