   Why is it such a surprise that GM wants to save money by closing up plants   
   in Canada and the US?   
   It is far cheaper to pay emplyees in another country such as India, China   
   etc. They won't form unions, they willingly accept the pitiful pay, because   
   they need the jobs. There is gonna be alot more companies pulling out of US   
   and Canada. The american/caniadian worker demand to much now a days in a   
   economy that cannot support it. GM is loosing billions, mainly because they   
   buil;d a shit product, and because there employees are paid anywhere from   
   $14 to $28 a hour, to assemble a fuckin car. I Don't agree with them or   
   anyone else pulling up stakes, but it is a fact of life now.   
   Health/employee/pension benefits for each employee alone are something like   
   $2,000 on every truck or car sold. Where in India, nothing, they don't pay   
   that out.   
   Whether you agree with me or not, get used to it, it's sad to say, but the   
   glory days are well over with now.
