Boy, the left-wing loons are out in force today!! What bitter little

Well, JJ, I just got a chance to skim through some of these posts and the
   same thought crossed my mind.
The excuses they dream up to justify their hatred of Harper sure make them
sound like 'bitter little people'. . If Harper was a Liberal they'd be
saying all nice things about him being the best PM ever.

Maybe the four year mandate thing should have been spelled out more clearly
or maybe it was left vague for a purpose. Nobody can predict the future and
it's wise to leave room for any government to maneuver and let the people
   decide.

These 'little people' didn't complain when both Martin and Chrétien called
unnecessary elections. This law sure wasn't meant to only give the
   opposition
the right to call an election when it suited them...that wouldn't make
sense..... take the right away from the PM and give it to the opposition..I
   don't think so.

How many times did we hear Dion brag that HE would call the election when
the time suited HIIM , with no mention of cost of course. As for cost, it
was merely moved ahead a year as next year wouldn't be a freebee. The GG
and her staff would have considered all of this and could have turned Harper
down if he was breaking any law, keeeping in mind that she was a Liberal
   appointee.

When Harper met with all the leaders before calling the election, all any
one of them had to say was that they'd agree not to vote against all his
legislation. Dion had sat on his hands for two years , so what was one more
year. He could have protested any of Harpers legislation but simply not
bring the government at his, Dions, convenience.

I got a kick out of the Liberals claiming that Harper's gov't had
accomplished nothing after they and their buddies in the Senate blocked or
delayed or rewrote every bill.. Then when Harper called an election, they
claimed puzzlement because he had accomplished a lot. They didn't mention
the 43 non-confidence votes it took but then they complained about them at
other times. Maybe that's why the little guys are so confused.

Fixed election dates simply won't work in our system unless the opposition
   agrees.
It's not rocket science but these guys can't seem to grasp the basics..
Hate blinds reason , I guess.
