   It is nothing new.

Washington state had a law on the books for years - anyone from a
low-tax jurisdiction (ie - less than 3% tax rate) is exempt from paying
   WA state sales tax.

Canadians from all provinces except BC and Ont already could take
   advantage of that.

When the HST kicks in, BC and Ont will qualify.

But the reality is that with it's "Fortress America" (tm) mentality,
it's never been as hostile and unfriendly a time for a Canadian to cross
the border to shop in the USA. When you first have to prove to some
border agent that you're not a terrorist, it becomes more nerve-wracking
then it's worth for a lot of people.

Tough shit Ken. You should be thanking your fucking lucky stars that
there are Canadians that will cross your god-forsaken border and put up
with your Natzi US border "protection" agents to come and shop in your
stores and keep your retailers solvent.

That's what you get when your federal gov't launches an illgal "war" 7
years ago and it's costs over these years are bankrupting you as a
   nation.
