XPost: can.internet.highspeed, can.general       From: Some@Guy.com              Bell was ordered by the CRTC to refund $250 million that was collected       over the years from customers, supposedly in the name of the perenial       poster child known as "rural broadband".              This refund works out to $67.41 to each of about 3.7 million urban (not       rural) telephone customers on record with bell as of (I believe) August       2010. This is supposed to be paid out this month (March).              Nobody I know in SW-Ontario (basically, anywhere west of GTA all the way       to Windsor) has received this yet.              There are some reports that eastern Ontario (Kingston) have got some of       theirs.              Contradicting reports that this is coming as a cheque in a plain       (unmarked) envelope as well as being credited to active accounts.              So - has anyone who was a Bell phone customer as of last summer gotten       their $67 cheque / credit yet?              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
