XPost: alt.true-crime, tor.general, can.politics       From: gregcarrsober@gmail.com              BARRIE - A member of the Toronto Hells Angels motorcycle club was sent       to jail for 60 days Friday for assaulting a man who stole five pounds of       his pal’s marijuana.              Sean Michael Panting, 36, had turned himself in after the two men who       stole the pot complained to police that he assaulted and threatened to       kill them in October 2012.              Court heard the complainants, Mark Noblestork, 20, and Tristan Nichols,       21, of Bracebridge, broke into the home of one of Panting’s friends and       took off with the marijuana.              Days later Panting showed up where the two worked and approached them in       the driveway.              Panting came up behind Noblestork, held him by the neck against his       truck and punched him in the head three times, saying: “Do you know who       you’re dealing with? … Bring back what you stole or there will be hell       to pay.”              Nichols, who had a sandwich in his hand, grabbed his cellphone and       attempted to call police while threatening to throw his sandwich at Panting.              “Put down the phone, or I’ll kill you,” Panting said, court heard. He       also threatened to put both of them to “sleep” later that night if they       didn’t settle up.              Instead, both men reported the incident to police. While no major       injuries were sustained, Noblestork received a small scratch on his       finger, court heard.              Police called Panting and told him to turn himself in and hours later he       calmly showed up at the Bracebridge police station, dressed in full       Hells Angels regalia.              It was only later in the investigation that the complainants told police       the full story about the stolen pot, court heard.              Panting was originally charged with the more serious crime of committing       an offence for the benefit of a criminal organization and extortion, but       that charge was reduced with a plea bargain.              Justice Michelle Fuerst ordered that Panting’s Hells Angels jacket and       ring be returned to him since he was not wearing them at the time of the       crime. She also ordered that Panting have no contact, directly or       indirectly, with either complainant or their families.              Panting, dressed in a suit and tie, turned to say goodbye to a family       member as he was escorted away in handcuffs by a police officer.              http://www.torontosun.com/2013/11/08/hells-angels-member-jailed-       or-assaulting-pot-thief       --       *Read and obey the Bible*              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
