|    Reciprocity in Canada!    |
|    09 Dec 14 20:55:06    |
Reciprocity is an important issue in Canada! Canada is supposed to be one       market; however, there are hundreds of rules and regulations which impede the       free flow of goods and services. Some say it is easier to send goods to the US       or Asia than into the        neighboring province. Recently the government of BC signed reciprocity       agreements with other provinces to allow BC wine to be sold there.              Reciprocity can even be found in the Charter of Rights, which is part of the       Canadian Constitution. A particular Section deals with freedom of mobility and       peaceful establishment. All provinces that signed the Constitution granted       freedom of mobility        reciprocity to each other.              One area of reciprocity that hasn't received much attention is students.       Students who decide to go to University in another province are vulnerable       because they are alone and isolated. Many students in Canada are persecuted or       bullied by local people,        who try to make them go back to where they came from. Let us hope that the       plight of students comes to the attention reciprocity activists!              JL 09-12-2014              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
