   The government ended up with an ownership stake, like the Ontario and US   
   governments, after chipping in to save GM.  There was never an intention to   
   own the shares for ever ... Ontario and the the US had already sold their   
   shares ... so it's not like they sold off the crown jewels.   
      
   As opposed to Kathleen Wynne in Ontario, who is looking to sell off Hydro   
   and/or the LCBO to try and paper over a hole in the budget that exceeds $10   
   billion ... larger than the deficits of the federal government and all the   
   other provinces combined.
