|    Revolution    |

During my time studying I had a Prof. named Dr. Jacques Zilberber. He was a       Belgian who went to do graduate work in Spain and then accepted a position at       the U Santiago in Chile. He came to Canada after President Salvador Allende       was overthrown. One of        Jacques specialties was revolution in South America.               Dr. Zilberber taught that when the Spanish went to S. America, they took       native women as wives. After they tamed the continent, they longed for Spanish       culture and coaxed educated women to come from Spain. These women demanded       marriage and threw out the        native women and their children. She longed to return to the good life up top       and so made roosters down below, who she primed to revolt, so that she could       go back up.              The Spanish were not the first in S. America who had to learn to deal with       revolution. One reason for the long, successful rein of the Inca in S. America       was that they learned to control revolt. The Inca took captives in battle.       They allowed the women to        choose one, usually the most handsome, to be their King.               After a year of being pampered by the women and having their every command       fulfilled by them, the Priests would take the women's captive King from them.       The women's King would be led up high onto an altar where he was beheaded and       his head was thrown        down to the women.              JL -13-11-15              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
