|    Liberal Businesses in Canada    |

When the Liberal Party of Canada set-up Petro Canada, it flattered Canadian's       national spirit. However, not all the lofty ideals endured. In retrospect,       having lived with Petro Canada for almost a generation many ordinary Canadians       had an opportunity to        see behind the corporate veil.              Basically, Petro Canada was and may still be a Liberal business. Both the       executive and the administration became Liberal fiefdoms. Invariably       franchises for the service stations went to Liberals. These operators often       used the Liberal connection with        the Parole Board of Canada to sponsor inmates seeking release, if they agreed       to work in the stations for less than the going rate with the competition.              Then too there was product differentiation. Petro Canada became a manufacturer       of numerous products not readily associated with gasoline. An example of two       of these are - emery wheels for grinding and emery cloth for sanding.              With a majority of 185 seats in the Commons it looks very likely that the       Liberals will commercialize cannabis. Canadians should be ready this time so       that they aren't squeezed out of participating in this new business       opportunity by the Liberals. There        is an urgent need for consultants in the cannabis industry to inform       non-Liberal business people on the regulations, pricing, product lines and       marketing of this new product.              A good place to start would be with Medical Marijuana. Is it already under       Liberal control? How can non-Liberals break into this lucrative retail trade?              JL 18-11-15              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
