|    Pierre Trudeau - God rest his soul    |

Pierre Trudeau has passed into history being loved for his frankness.              On many occasions he referred to Quebec City as a "Bidonville". That's a       French word which means "Shanty-town or a suburb of a city built out of old       tin cans and boxes".              He really like to tell the Liberal Party of Canada what he thought of them.               In a letter to the Editor of Montreal's La Press newspaper he compared the LPC       to the Communist Party in Russia.              On another occasion, he stood up in the House of Commons and complained,       "Canadians want us to control spending by the civil service. How are we       supposed to do that when the Liberal Party of Canada can only get gas station       attendants elected to the House        of Commons?"              JL 07-17-2016              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
