She was never qualified to be Attorney-General. No one with just 3 years of       experience as a lawyer would be.              Trudeau appointed her because of his pervasive and extreme accommodation of       the native people in this country. Wilson-Raybould's experience with the law       was almost entirely involved with gaining more rights for the indigenous       communities.               She is known for having a temper, being extremely stubborn, and through her       own testimony - overly impressed and self-important with her role as Attorney       General . . . no one dares challenge a decision that she has made.              A full inquiry would bring out the facts and it would reveal that the       overtures and conversations that others in the PM's office tried to have with       her - to protect the many, many jobs at SNC-Lavalin - fell on dear, stubborn,       and self-righteous ears.       And also that those conversations and entreaties were totally permissible,       legal and common in deciding for or against a DPA. She admitted in her own       testimony that they were not illegal.              And as to "veiled threats" that she's accusing the PMO of? . . . how does       this sound to the average Candadian ear? . . .              “Are you politically interfering with my role / my decision as the AG? I       would strongly advise against it.”              She even had the temerity to bring in 'native reconciliation' into the       conversation - sending the signal to aboriginals across the country that       Trudeau was breaking his promise to them by demoting her.              She never was Attorney-General material. That was Trudeau's biggest - and       only mistake in his interactions with her.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
