I asked a few hard questions about some issues that were       important to me, such as the stripping of religious organizations of their       charitable status, as        well as the reinstatement of section 13 of the human rights code. The       conservative candidate basically told me to screw off on both counts, saying I       was against the precious "free speech", which abolishing section 13 opened the       door for the conservative        love for hate speech. Plus, the same conservative candidate said religious       organizations have every right to become politically involved. When I brought       up the separation of church and state, he told me outright that the       conservative government under        Scheer would fully enforce the freedom of religion guarantee under the       constitution. In other words, the guy was a typical conservative, a Christian       and a bigot.               The Liberal, and the NDP candidate (who won in my riding) were both very open       to listening to the issues I presented. Will they do anything about them? I       very much doubt it. But, at least they didn't tell me to my face to screw       off, which is not a        nice way for any candidate to talk to a constituent who would effectively be       his boss. And as a constituent, that automatically makes me his boss. Oh,       and before you explode on me stating that fact, that also goes for any elected       representative!               I stand by what I called Scheer and his campaign. He stood for bigotry and       hate. Plus, that vile, repulsive, two-faced, hypocritical Donal       -Trump-wanna-be bastard still hasn't issued an apology for his Homophobic       speech he made in 2005. And while those        "qualities" seemed to have appealed to you, there was no way I could have       supported anyone representing that party.              Oh, and this should make you smile. I had a Liberal sign on my front lawn,       along with two other signs that said "No Bigots" and "Haters have no right to       call themselves Christians". When the guy who bought the house behind me       (he's only been there for        less than two years, while I've lived in my house for the first twenty-three       years of my life and the last fifteen) saw that I was a Liberal, he put his       house up for sale. He said to my face that, had he known there was a f**king       Liberal living that        close to him, he would not have bought the house. Good riddance to the jerk!              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
