Vhat version of SIO? I am using SIO2k v2.11 I think with VX00 installed and 8 
telnet ports and I have pretty much gotten everything to answer telnet calls 
with both DOS and OS/2 BBS software .. 

If you can't get the software to answer calls, try changing the init string to 
just ATZ and any other hayes commands to manipulate speaker and stuff. hangup 
string ATH answer string ATA detect RING answer on 2nd RING .. should pretty 
much cover any situation .. at least in my experience

Good luck .. I am testing out the telnet/news/ftp server of EleBBS/2 currently 
:D so far everything works as expected.
