FWIW I'm using a startech KVM - had good luck with them and they usually
include the cables, while some other brands make you buy them extra.

Anyone who has one, please share the make and model with me. Perhaps I can
still find a local vendor who carries the mouse.

keyboards, but the rodent (actually a logitech magic marble trackball; I hate
mice!) is USB. However, when I had a PS2 kvm, I think the usb Tball worked OK
with the little passive USB to PS2 adapter that came with mice for a number of
years. Don't remember if there was a delay on switching back to os2 or not;
don't think so.

Allow me to clarify, that my existing mouse (with the button going bad) is a
USB mouse connected through a USB/PS2 converter into a Belkin VGA/PS2 KVM
unit. I was very surprised to learn the replacment mouse with usb
connectivity didn't work at all. :(
