I have been using trackballs probably since they were first sold. This
one is corded, optical, one of very few that are ambidextrous,
available, and reasonable. I have a bunch of them. They were
originally PS2 and are now USB with a PS2 adapter.

As an aside, I have a assembly/test bench with a four port KVM. I have
encountered MBs that would not access the mouse thru the KVM, and it did
not matter what the OS was.
