i've done that and it always jumps back to 80x25... even when it is
specifically set to 80x50 or more... 

my normal command prompt opens in 80x50 with a 80x500 buffer for scrollback...
syncterm's pif is set to open it in 80x50 with a 80x50 buffer (no scrollback)
but it always jumps to 80x25... i gave up messing with it until some future
date...
