Hello to all fellow PCBoarders! I am hoping that this message base is in fact PCBoard support... I am trying to resurect my PCBoard BBS and am having a little trouble that i could use some expert help with. I am running PCB on WinXP SP3. My file system is a Sata 2TB HD partitioned into 4 500GB drives using NTFS. PCB runs very well with multi node and fossil driver. I am able to view my old setup including filesystem that was from my old backup. I am now trying to setup some new DIR files. When i try and make an IDX file using "makeidx files.lst files.idx", i get a windows error "NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction." Error code is: CS:07df IP:4ecb OP:ff ff ff ff ff. All my files and directories are using the DOS standard ie: 8 letter filename, 3 letter extention. Should i be using a 16bit FAT filesystem or is NTFS workable? Any help here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!! Sincerely, Tom --- PCBoard (R) v15.4/M 250 Beta * Origin: Torres Vedras - Portugal (2:362/6) |
