Sorry, a programmer I am not. If somebody compiled the source and made it
available with changes that would make it work under today's conditions, I
would be willing to even pay for some of that, and I would go back.

There are many more with manuals that can do the same.

You are correct.  I will not.  I use them at times when I do play with PCB.  I
still support PCB.  My BBS has a multitude of files related to it.
