   You parked in a spot plainly marked "Handicapped".  If you had disabled   
   veterans plates or the equivalent, you'ld have a valid argument but then   
   again, you would not have a ticket and fine either.  You made an   
   unwarranted assumption about how things work and got a ticket for your   
   trouble.  Nobody from around here would be shocked by what happened to you.
