I never claimed that Pennsylvania was a Democrat controlled       state, only that it certainly is NOT a Republican controlled state. The       executive head and governor of the state is about as Democrat a person as one       can find. Republicans hold a small elected majority in the legislature, but       certainly not enough to overturn any of Ed's vetoes. If you were arguing that       Massachusetts is a Democrat controlled state (despite a R governor) you'd have       better luck, since Democrats hold about 90% in both houses in that       commonwealth,       far more than enough to withstand any veto.                     > I don't see democrats in control of the PPA either,       > funny how that seems to have slipped your mind, it's republican controlled.              Please try to read more accurately. I didn't say that the Philadelphia       Parking       Authority was not controlled by a Republican majority, or anything about the       Philadelphia Parking Authority at all for that matter. Since you mentioned it       here, I do note that it is currently controlled by an appointed Republican       majority and coincidentally is a government entity in Philadelphia that       *doesn't* have federal agents/grand juries/petit juries crawling all over       corruption and bribe schemes, e.g. City Hall and its cronies. As noted       elsewhere in the thread, it also commits sins like ticketing people who       improperly park in Handicapped parking spaces.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
