You will go unbothered by criminals today.- Good , wish you continued
success. Do you realize I had an uncle murdered, a friends father shot in
the neck and witnessed a guy shooting at another guy, saw a Korean man with
a gun going after or running after what looked like a robbery suspect on a
local avenue and crime didn't affect you yet? Maybe your one of the lucky
ones. Maybe, just maybe I have personal reasons (not political at least in
this city) for not liking Philly and unfortunately I still live here even
though I thought I found a different place. (family still here). The bottom
line is , this city has lots to like and unfortunately way too much now not
to like. I use to drive for a wholesale pharmacist , and saw the fear in
their faces when many of them were robbed. I can't possibly make up what I
saw . I can't imagine how many professionals who could afford to move, left
the city. Realize what governments don't say often says more then what they
do say. This city is silent on crime and if the citizens want more of the
same they will vote in Street . Good luck with that. I am not sure Katz
   would be much different though.
Like I talked about with the pollution from coal due west and now they
are burning chemical weapons in Alabama and we are getting the air due
south in summer although a bit farther way then the coal plants, one can see
the connections as another link in our cities continued spiral downward.
Sure people will want to stay or live here , because Philly has historic
significance and or people are just not aware of the information about the
quality of living issues lately or don't care. There are so many people in
the world , thats not surprising Karen. The way the news hides negative
things in this city its not surprising at all.Its interesting you think news
and tv is too scary , I think it don't go far enough .
I can't be we can ignore all this as a society and expect our species to
continue especially in a positive way. Our air is bad, people are fighting
in many wars all over the planet, our people are unhealthy , our attitudes
are pretty miserable often, we are a depressed nation taking many pills,
many people don't believe what the govt tell us, the trees are dying, the
glaciers are melting and you can go your happy way assuming you can block it
all out. Well in a perfect world , I would hope people can maybe strive for
more then ignoring the evil around them but rather trying hard to do
something about it .Turning off the information around us will not make for
better connections in the future unfortunatly. Maybe its me, but I think too
many people can't see the larger picture often starting with them (usually
doing very little for a better world) ,
