   Normally, your computer would do a DHCP type exchange with the WAP   
   (wireless access point),,, to obtain an IP address, hostmask, gateway   
   address, and domain name server addresses. Apparently that didn't   
   happen for you... Which means you weren't connected to the right network   
   properly or your settings were foo.
