|    Re: bad air in Philly caused by smokers     |

XPost: phl.general, phl.media, phl.misc       From: mcs@yahoo.com              millions of people just had10 days of air that approached the warning       levels for quality in the Philly area which is the worse level (and       suburbs) and could not leave the area unless they moved or traveled far       distances. With smokers you can choose to walk away a few yards . My ideas       from three years ago was that air was not getting better as we were told but       worse. I didn't really know how to measure how worse at the time the air was       years ago, as my only goal at the time was to report back from what I was       seeing around me. Little by little I saw the links that proved what I was       saying was correct. So matter how much you love Philly/ Maryland and some       places in New Jeresey/ your family might be suffering the consequences from       bad air and a news media that ignores it. Why people do what they do , is       one of my goals in bringing up this topic, and not necessarily to invoke a       better alternative for myself by playing out this rather sad scenario over       and over again. There might and I said might be some better readings in       Philly compared to years ago but the most important ingredient: particulates       are at all time highs. As little as two years ago we were unfortunate enough       to have at worst 5 days total for worst air quality. Now we just had       practically 10 in a row and its not even summer. If the gauge hit the       warning level at 42 degrees where do you think your families threshold will       be in summer for suffering the consequences especially over time. When your       gorgeous daughter or wife gets cancer or lung disease will living in Philly       been worth it knowing you decided to ignore all this?       "riggor9999" |
