XPost: nj.politics, phl.media       From: highnoon@spammersgotojail.net              To boost my long-suffering self-esteem, I offer a few more Bushie moments       for the stupid to defend:              1. His economic policy has produced nothing but record high       oil/gasoline/natural gas prices which, now has prompted a meeting of the       industrialized nations worried about a world wide depression.              The stock market- the republican's favorite indicator of economic success,       because it's rise means the rich are getting richer-has gone nowhere. So       the rich definitely need another tax cut, oh yeah, and who cares about the       deficit? Only the naysayers, the negative people. And we know it's all       america's duty to be positive.              Oooh, what if you had no SS and a private account started in 1998.... oh,       never mind, it's just too much to figure out. And since it's too much for       us, Bush must be right.              2. A government report just issued stated that airport security is no       better now than it was before the attack of 9/11/01. Ah, say the bushies,       but we had a report that proves it's all the CIA's fault, and so it's still       the CIA's fault. Just look at Condee's high heels and dresses, and that       proves it can't be our fault. The so called "news" media agrees. The       stupid rest assured and listen to their congressman praising the "culture of       life" and condemning the judges, even straight conservative republican       judges, on a TV church program.              3. The Bush mis-administration has announced that a government report       published openly since 1985 will not be coming out this year. That       publication describes the number of, and trends in, terrorist attacks across       the world.              Why shouldn't this report come out? The Weed-in-Chief and his poisonous       alter-ego (however, the executives of Halliburton and those of Exxon would       disagree with that adjective "poisonous", so, you see, this is a fair and       balanced report) has already stated that we are winning the war on       terrorism. And what more do the stupid need to know? Nothing.              The report stated that global terrorist attacks in 2003 consisted of about       155 incidents. In 2004 there global terrorists attacks amounted to about       670 incidents, a four-fold increase.              eeeuuuuwwww, said bushie.              bushie asked jesus what to do. jesus said, do that which reassures the       least among you.              bushie decided to quash the report.              Because the stupid do not need to know things like this. Or should I have       used that most overused and corrupted phrase "The American People"?              What _do_ the stupid need to know? The stupid need to know that their       Commander-in-Chief is busy fighting stem cell research. The stupid need to       know that their C-in-C is busy promoting Creationism and the teaching       thereof, thus helping in the grand cause of replicating the stupid.              There is no greater goal.       --       Anticlimax:       And that goal in no way impedes the goal of the owners of the ownership       society, which is so completely simple as to be perfect: to own more.              If you are wondering about how simplicity = perfection, study theology.              mike              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
