You also seem to have missed all the stories about       American expatriates moving to other countries for better jobs and more       pay. Ask instead, which country does the median AND average worker have a       better chance of earning a middle class wage?              > The UN and and various EU commissions have released dozens of reports       > over the last 20 years describing the crisis of depopulation in Europe       > caused by declining birth rates and which are exasperated by educated       > Europeans fleeing to find jobs in the US, Australia and New Zealand and       > the destruction of the European middle class. Some in the EU have       > describe the problem as "the exit of Europe from history"...              If the US didn't attract lots of immigrants, it too would have a declining       birth rate, that's what you don't seem to understand. Educated working       women have fewer children.              > I personally live in a neighborhood populated predominantly by educated       > Germans, Italians, French and Swiss families all of which left their       > countries and tell me personally they never expect to return home       > because there is no work for them and never will be...       >       > And you continue to believe in these myths conjured up by leftist       > talking heads.              Unfortunately, the concept of leftist talking heads seems mostly mythology.       I can't think of a single prominent leftist with a widely distributed TV       show in the US, while there are lots of conservative talking heads. I       suggest you stop believing on the basis of your neighborhood and begin at       least looking at real statistics and how the stats are compiled. The US       produces stats on unemployment for example that are major jokes and any       real check shows that real wages for the bottom half of the populace have       declined individually, even if one can state that a working woman plus a       working man now earn 10% more than one working man did in the 70's when       adjusted for inflation. That's two workers to produce 110%, it should       scare you, instead you repeat what conservative talking heads want you to       believe.              > It's the same with your fantasies about health care... Europe's economy       > is crumbling, but you need to believe what you need to believe in order       > to rationalize inflicting this chaos here in the US.                     What I do know is that at least 40 million people in this country have no       healthcare plan and yet the US spends more per individual than any other       industrialized nation. I also know that the US has a lower life expectancy       despite all of the money being spent. Yeah, I'm fantasizing alright but at       least my fantasy is based on data and reality rather some ideology that       those who preach for it avoid like it's the plague.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
