   I'm a lot more cynical than you are.  I doubt the anti-snitching movement is   
   actually leading to more murders.  Consider that the murder rate is rising   
   just as the number of men in the likeliest to murder cohort is rising or   
   that the number of firearms being sold in the US is rising.  Both seem to   
   have a higher correlation with murders than social movements of any kind.
