   Actually why don't you consult sociologists about the term.  You may   
   well associate it with marxism, but Marx and Engels weren't the   
   originators of the term or the concept.  The other problem is that it's   
   amusing how some people want to deny that such a concept has any   
   validity at all, when in fact it does describe a group of people, and   
   how they earn their money.
