   Then the rank and file elected them to their party positions.  Why would   
   the rank and file elect wingers to those positions?

   In that case, the wingers are in control of the party in this state, but   
   the rank and file put them there.   
      
   I'm happy that you are uncomfortable with the religious right and the   
   wingers having control about the party, Larry; however, instead of   
   pretending that they don't, why don't you do something to get the   
   moderates in and the wingers out?
