   Furthermore her inhumane treatment by the media and society at large far   
   more trouble me than the partial medical records and hearsay testimony   
   we are privy to here.   
      
   Suffice to say, how this nation sought to prosecute her illness renders   
   us no more than sick, rubber-necking, gossip-mongers.   
      
   We are diminished by even presuming to know her state of awareness.   
      
   This was one of the least laudable chapters in the annals of social   
   second-guessing.
