   What was illegal? It was manifest destiny. Something is illegal only if   
   you lose the war. Winners make the rules, and winners decide what is   
   legal. If Mexican ruled the American West, it would be a bigger shit   
   hole than they have made California. It would look like Aqua Prieta,   
   Mexico, and smell like a Mexicali colonia without plumbing.
