(KABC) -- A 68-year-old grandmother suffered       bites to her face and arms when she was attacked by her son-in-       law's pit bull in Perris Friday.              First responders were dispatched to the 22900 block of Betty       Road around 10 p.m.              Officials say the pit bull escaped its tether and attacked the       woman in the backyard. The dog owner's son went outside and saw       the family's dog attacking his grandmother, grabbed a chain       connected to the dog, and pulled him off.              She was transported to Riverside County Regional Medical Center       in Moreno Valley with bites to her face and arms.              The dog has been released to animal control officers to be       euthanized.              His owner, identified as Edward Chavez, was cited for having the       dog tethered for more than three hours, which is prohibited       under state law.              Comments:              frollo fan • a day ago       Edward Chavez is the one who should be euthanized       21 • Reply•Share ›       Avatar       Debbie Bell frollo fan • 18 hours ago       Frollo, get serious. what do you propose to reduce these all too       common situations?       3 2 • Reply•Share ›       Avatar       Jeannine Debbie Bell • 16 hours ago       For one, its illegal to have a dog tethered for longer then a       couple of hours in CA. Its cruel and makes the dog more       aggressive to strangers. Look at the eyes of this dog,he is so       frightened and doesnt know what he did. Im not a fan of this       breed but he probably had a terrible life with no walks or       attention. His owner is the one to blame for this attack.       24 • Reply•Share ›       Avatar       Bob • a day ago       Another pit bull attack? That breed should require background       checks, a wait list to purchase and proof of insurance to cover       their victims.              http://abclocal.go.com/kabc/story?section=news/local/inland_empi       re&id=9433870                             --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
