XPost: ba.politics, dc.media, soc.penpals       XPost: alt.burningman       From: just.a.cheap.quota.punk@harvard.edu              For as long as I can remember, the United States has had a       standing policy that "we do not make deals with the enemy." That       ended when President Obama decided to trade five Taliban       commanders for a Army sergeant who, by the accounts of men in       his unit, is a deserter. According to the information from the       men in his unit, Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl left his guard post, leaving       his weapons, and simply took off. In their ensuing search       efforts, six American soldiers lost their lives.              Obama has now put the United States' safety in jeopardy by       freeing the five Taliban commanders, as well as giving the       biggest slap to every American's face, we've ever had. It'll be       interesting to see if Bergdahl stands trial for desertion or if       Obama gives him a medal and a parade.              http://www.desmoinesregister.com/story/opinion/readers/2014/06/0       7/obamas-taliban-trade-slap-face/10108517/              Obama should be tried for consorting with the enemy.                             --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
