XPost: ba.politics, dc.media, soc.penpals       XPost: alt.burningman       From: jamiebaillie@simpatico.ca              But black people suck more dick.              In the media, there was a mocking smugness directed towards him       because he used crack. Crack is a poor person's drug. It is       associated with African-Americans. It is perceived as the lowest       of the low.              The social stigma is still there, even out on the streets. I       have spent a lot of time working with and photographing addicts       in New York City. A heroin addict, white and homeless, spotting       an empty crack vile, told me, "Fucking niggers and their drugs."       Two feet away was his half-squeezed lime, used to cut crack,       allowing him to inject it mixed with heroin. A street speedball.              Lately, since heroin doesn't get me very high, I've been buying       and smoking rocks. Every time I get crack that's kinda yellow I       get pissed because it's not as good as the "cream" (that's what       they call the all white crack around here). I figure the yellow       stuff is made using a bunch of baking soda. Now when I get crack       that's all-white and looks like it's just rocked up coke, I get       so happy like I'm already high.              Anyone know the difference between the two? Other than quality.       Is the all white made with ammonia and not soda? And, anyone       know any type of way to tell the difference between OK crack,       and the crack that'll make ya throw up after a hit? So far, only       the cream has done that to me.              What's the difference between the two?              Bewaretheidesofmarch              44       I'm not sure that I follow your reasoning. In Canada crack can't       be the drug of African Americans. There are no African       Americans. But there is, nonetheless, crack. Why not an article       addressing who the crack users are in Canada?       If you want to bring preconceived American notions into the       argument, fine. But then you should make clear that you're       talking of the US situation, and don't pretend that it is       applicable to Canada as well.                             --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
