It's pretty straighforward with OpenXP.

From an existing boss node it's: Fido/Request, and pick the  
boss node you want to request from.

From any other nodelisted system, just lookup the node via  
Fido/Nodelist/Search, then when you select a specific node, you  
will have the option to initiate a File Request.
