Not just decoded, but ignored, filtered and filled in.  What the media produces
today is near useless to me.  I long reached a point of not bothering to
"decode" the "news" and just get actual news from more reliable sources.

I will argue that there's a minority that CAN'T understand that.

They lack the ability to think for themselves and the self-awareness to correct
their thinking.  At the base of that is the unwillingness to accept that they
were wrong.  So they avoid any "news" source that will lead them down that line
of thinking.
