I doubt it.  He was simply programmed to do some things.  Even AIs can act
human for a while.

They were never able to do 2 way communications.  They were just programmed to
respond in certain ways.

They've always been part of the hivemind and they are running out of ways to
deflect/redirect away from their failures.
