Back then the newspapers were important to people, probably for the help
wanted section and for the coupons.

But despite the changes in things to steal, things haven't changed much for
that kind of people. I lived in a lot of apartments so I know what you mean
about those who pack up and leave in the middle of the night. When I see
people doing things like that it makes me wonder "have they ever known what
integrity or decency was like?"
