The latest statements about Greenland make it clear that the US is a potential
enemy of Europe.

The invasion of Greenland will lead to a war with the US.

The question is whether an invasion of Greenland wouldn't also lead to a
direct war with Canada. I wrote last week that Canada is preparing for a war
against the US. Not to conquer the US, but to defend itself against a US
invasion. The invasion of Greenland could already be seen by Canada as an
attack on Canada. This is essentially Article 5 of NATO, except that the
aggressor is the leading NATO country.

Not that NATO can win a war with the US per se, but the US ultimately cannot
win that war either.

It must become horribly clear to Trump and the US military that an invasion of
Greenland will significantly change the world.

The risk of a military coup in the US increases if Trump continues his policy
of rapprochement with Russia and rejection of Europe as an ally. US political
leaders are thus playing with fire.
