Trump wants to spend hundreds of billions of high-speed rail, though
he wants to fund it using an investment tax credit (a mechanism that
has not been shown to be successful with rail infrastructure). There
already seems to be a consensus that deficits and a bloated national
debt won't matter - interest rates are rising (and bond prices are
falling) in anticipation.

As a real estate investor, Trump does have a good appreciation for the
value good transportation infrastructure adds to his properties.
