probably not much since they are pretty quiet these days... quiet as in maybe
a post or two a year unless something pops up like an episode discussion or
the noting of an actor's passing...

i grab tag lines from all kinds of places... even taking some good statements
or phrases and chopping them into tag lines...

kinda like having a scratch piece of paper while taking a test... something to
scribble on without messing up the original... in this case, uncle google is
your friend...

Scratch monkey is a term used in hacker jargon, as in "Before testing or
reconfiguring, always mount a scratch monkey", a proverb used to advise
caution when dealing with irreplaceable data or devices.

[...] So five monkeys were fitted with caps intended to sense brain waves, and
the caps were attached to various A-to-D and D-to-A converters [...] connected
to the VAX. This connection was piggybacked on a disk drive [...] mounted
read-only--the read-only button was pressed and taped over with a warning not
to remove it. [...] The room containing the monkeys was several stories
removed from the computer room. [...] the VAX crashed. It was on a service
contract, [...] The Digital Field Service engineer came in, removed the disk
from the drive, figured it was then okay to remove the tape [holding down the
read-only button] and make the drive writeable, [...] monkey brains are not
designed to handle the electrical signals they received. You can imagine [...]

some stories say the machine was a PDP11 and i've also seen mentioned a
PDP12... the system in question was a VAX and the monkeys affected really were
affected... one, named Mabel, had even been trained to swim underwater with a
mouth piece like scuba divers use... but i'll let you read the above links...
i'm sure you will understand more about the statement when you are finished
reading ;)
