Yes. GO Transit also has a history of selling their older equipment to
US transit agencies, hence the desire for complying with FRA and APTA
rules even though as a Canadian operator they don't need to. They also
get some benefits of economy of scale by joining the larger US market.

Yes, they use UIC standard 55cm platforms, same as CMTA, DCTA and NJT's
River Line.
