KT> I didn't know, I had tried the beta, but went back to the non beta
KT> 1.11.. I just Dl'd 1.12 and going to give it a go. thanks for the
 KT> info

 :)

KT> Had a bit of trouble getting netfoss 1.12 going, AVG things it's
KT> malware.. duh.. But it worked, built in Zmodem is going now :)

great!

KT> I'm connected from my main PC to the BBS PC and Syncterm does a
KT> nice job of looking like Telix:)

yeah, it isn't too bad... i still run telix, though... using a virtual
modem... i haven't found anything yet that beats it ;)

KT> THe BBS PC also runs my webserver.

same here... ftp and everything... it is how i allow access to my files areas
outside of the bbs... i just wish that i had some way of updating the download
counters in the bbs for all the grabs done via http and ftp... oh well
[shrug]...

KT> btw, my mailer, Argus is running Binkp only, not using it as a
 KT> frontend for the board.

ahhh... ok... you can use its other protocol capabilities, too, and not
interfere with the bbs on telnet... simply adjust the port argus uses for
telnet connections and advertise it in the nodelist... you might even see my
frontdoor connecting

KT> but i still my try some exteral protocals just for fun.. I have the
KT> "need" to have SEAlink in there.

i used to have sealink but i lost it with a lot of other stuff in a crash back
in the 90s... i currently have hslink, 8k Zmodem (via cexyz) and hydracom set
up as externals in RA... i'm only using the cexyz protocol driver in OLMS... i
don't think i have anything else external to RA that does downloads...

KT> STill fun to tinker with this stuff, who knows, maybe I'll update
KT> RACall some time too.. I wonder if anybody is still using it...

i think i had it at one time... i've been hunting for the CDs that had the old
RADIST FDN on them so i could recover what i lost so long ago...

KT> would love to get a spell check on QuickEd too:) mee naught sew gud
 KT> a splr

hahaha... i'm using the old RAEdit but there are others out there which are
better... IIRC, though, RAEdit has spell checking built-in but it has other
problems, too... oh well...
